Dr. Larry Troxell, CEO of Comanche County Medical Center (CCMC), is a strong advocate for the life-changing “Diabetes Care” therapy based on his personal experience with the treatment itself.
He said he was losing his eyesight to macular degeneration and was on a path to significant vision loss. Dr. Troxell added, “I was really close to becoming a diabetic, and I didn’t know it. It wasn’t until we pulled the labs on myself that we really found out how bad I was.”
He stated, “If I had not gotten into treatment back in August of 2021, I would be diabetic today, would not be able to drive, and would be in terrible conditions in other ways.”
The therapy also eliminated Dr. Troxell’s back pain. He said he had a trainwreck for a back, citing issues with deteriorating and ruptured discs as well as arthritis up and down his spine. “I don’t have any pain anymore. For years, I had taken injections in my back to get up and down these hallways,” Dr. Troxell said.
His successful experience with Diabetes Care therapy gave credence to the efficacy of the treatment. Dr. Troxell concluded, “So, I would tell you point blank, one on one, that it could make a difference and gives people hope. What we are doing is not only that, but we are improving the quality of life for people and extending quality of life years.”
